This isn't one of those games where I know the right answers and you have to figure them out. And there are no prizes. Cruddy game, I know!
Nope, this is the kind of game where I have no flippin' idea what is sprouting up around my house and I neeeeed to get to sprucing up. So I'm relying on you green thumbs out there to tell me if it's a nasty old weed or a plant....and preferably what plant it is. These green beauties are at your mercy people, because if it's a weed it's getting whacked! And the plants shall be spared!
Please help! Tell me if it's a plant or a weed. If it's a plant, what kind?

I think you should make the photos enlargable, so people can get a better look at them. However, here are my best guesses. #1 could be plant or weed, need a closer look. #2 and #3 are plants, don't get rid of them. #4 could be either sweet pea or clover. Wait and see if it climbs or not. Sweet pea gets tendrils and climbs, clover does not. #5 I would definitely say is a weed. I'd whack that stuff.
ReplyDelete#6 and 7 I already told you what I thought it was. Some kind of aster for #6 and some kind of kalanchoe for #7. Hopefully you have more plant savvy friends who can help you figure it all out! Good Luck! =)
Ohhh! My type of game! I worked in a greenhouse for 5 summers during high school and a bit in college :)

#2: Plant! If leaves are thick and waxy, I'ld say a form of sedum
#3: Plant! A Succulent (similar to Hen and Chicks, but I can't remember the name of it)
#4: Looks like sweet pea
#5: Weed
#6: Plant! I vote for a tall phlox, but again hard to tell from the pic. You'll definitly know by august!
#7: Plant! That is definitly a sedum. You'll see tall pink or red blooms come fall :)
